1. Michener's Choptank Cottage Hideaway - Experience our most private King Bedroom Suite, featuring an extra-large soaking tub for two and a separate shower. Relax in the cozy sitting area with a view of the lawn and a peek of the Tred Avon River from your window. The Tred Avon River is a main tributary of the Choptank River. The name of your bedroom cottage honors both the Choptank River and the Choptank Native American people featured in James Michener's novel Chesapeake. This non-smoking cottage with your king bedroom offers total privacy.
Enjoy private beach cottage cabana access, along with convenient amenities including a mini fridge, microwave, hotel-style coffee maker with provided coffee pods, Smart TV, Wi-Fi, and a hairdryer. 

2. Michener's Beach Cottage Cabana - We renovated Sandaway's original boathouse with 7 windows to give you 360 views of our private beach and lawn. Hear gentle waves as you relax in your private VIP Cabana complete with AC, leather couches, Smart TV, Wi-Fi, mini fridge, electric outdoor grill, and k-cup coffee maker. You will be just steps from the beach and soothing waves. On this private waterfront point you can see the Tred Avon River on your right, and the Choptank River on your left, which flows directly into the Chesapeake Bay!

This "silent service" is part of your included Grab & Go Continental Breakfast, which also features in-room premium coffee and curated Eastern Shore teas. To ensure everyone is included, we are pleased to provide organic and gluten-free treats for all guests (please be sure to ask or check labels if you have a food allergy).

In-room Brunch At Your Door™ At 11:30 AM, enjoy a curated brunch featuring wholesome, coastal-inspired options from Playa Bowls and Eat Sprout. Simply order and pay through our trusted partners, and the Sandaway team delivers it directly to your door—seamlessly and silently.

Note: As this service begins at 11:30 AM, guests wishing to enjoy Brunch At Your Door™ on their day of departure must add a Late Checkout Package to their stay.

Your Morning, Your Way Sandaway provides everything you need for a peaceful morning on-site. If you choose to explore the town, the Oxford Market (Open 7 Days) and Oxford Social Cafe (Thu–Sun) offer local charm within walking distance. Several restaurants for other meals are also within a short walk. For further exploration, there are over 100 restaurants and shops within 30 minutes in nearby St. Michaels, Easton, and Cambridge.
